MFA Thesis Book

To finally snag my MFA in Graphic Design I had to write and design the container for a final thesis project. 25,000 words, 100 pages and many-a-folds later, I had my thesis. The book can be broken down into four main sections with Roots being the main accordion structure. This section represents the constant influence and interaction with my hometown and family members. The remainder three sections, Mother Army, Puro San Antonio, and Within are all smaller booklets sewn into the folds of the main accordion booklet. Each 20 page booklet was simply sewn into the binding and represents the moments that caused deep reflection and impression upon of my designer self. Essentially, the form of this book represents the words on the pages. I believe that all designers should seek seductive harmony of both content and form in their work and experiments. This book does just that.
